Born in St. Louis and raised in Wisconsin, Mark received his M.D. from Duke University in 1981. He then completed his internship and internal medicine residency at the University Of Iowa Hospitals and his cardiology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Jackson joined HeartCare Midwest in 1991 and is a member of the American College of Cardiology.

Today, Dr. Jackson is a clinical assistant professor at the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine at Peoria, where he plays an active role in working with residents.

In his spare time, Mark enjoys flying aircraft and scuba diving.
